Introduction

This article describes how to configure Customer Rights settings to prevent Customers without an ERP ID from ordering Subscriptions and prompt them to contact their Account Manager for assistance. This configuration helps ensure proper Customer identification and maintains billing accuracy within the Platform .

Understanding Customer Rights Settings

The Customer Rights feature provides administrators with control over Customer purchasing permissions based on Organization profile completeness. This setting is particularly useful for maintaining data integrity and ensuring all Customers have proper identification before making purchases.

Configuring ERP ID Requirements

To configure the Customer Rights settings and require ERP IDs for ordering:

  1. Navigate to Settings in your Platform interface
  2. Select the Customers sub-section from the left navigation panel
  3. Locate the Customer Rights option in the main content area
  4. Enable the "Reject Ordering Without ERP ID" checkbox

When this setting is enabled, Customers without an ERP ID defined in the Platform will be restricted from placing Orders for Subscriptions. This ensures all purchasing Customers have complete Organization profiles before conducting transactions.

NOTE! Enabling this setting affects all Customers in your Organization immediately upon activation.

Customer Experience Without ERP ID

Enabling above feature influences the Customer experience in the Platform. When a Customer without an ERP ID attempts to purchase Subscriptions, they will encounter a blocking mechanism designed to guide them toward proper account completion.

The Customer will see a modal dialog with the following message:

  • Title: "Complete your Organization details"
  • Content: "Your Organization profile is incomplete. Please ask your Account Manager to complete it before you can purchase."
  • Action: A link to "Go to Organization details" for reference

This user-friendly approach ensures Customers understand why they cannot complete their purchase and provides clear next steps for resolution.

The Customer Rights configuration provides essential control over Customer purchasing permissions by requiring complete Organization profiles. This feature helps maintain data integrity, ensures proper Customer identification, and guides users toward account completion when necessary. Administrators can easily enable or disable this requirement through the Settings interface.
