Customer platform Settings
Introduction
This article provides a complete guide to the Customer Platform settings area. Customer Platform is a dedicated section within Settings that gives administrators centralized control over how the customer-facing Platform looks, behaves, and communicates. From uploading your Organization's logo and choosing an accent colour, through enabling languages and configuring public access rules, to managing footer links, date formats, content blocks, and the post-sign-in destination, every option is covered step by step with descriptions of each field, button, and configuration choice.
The Customer Platform settings page is organized into eight tabs: Overview, Branding, Languages, Public access, Footer links, Dates, Content blocks, and Post-sign-in. Opening Customer Platform selects the Overview tab by default.

Why use Customer platform settings
The Customer Platform settings area consolidates every customer-facing configuration into a single, tabbed workspace. With Customer Platform, administrators can review and update all of options from one place, see the completion status of each section at a glance on the Overview tab, and preview changes before saving.
Business benefits:
- Consistent brand identity across the channel. Upload your logo and select an accent colour once, and every button, link, and highlight across the customer-facing Platform reflects your brand. Distributors can set branding that cascades to Seller platforms, ensuring a uniform look for all Customers in the chain.
- Multi-language support with a default language fallback. Enable selected languages so that Customers see the Platform in their preferred language. The default language automatically serves any visitor whose browser language is not among the enabled options.
- Controlled public access and registration. Decide whether unauthenticated visitors land on the default page, a sign-in page, or a custom startup URL. Optionally enable Customer registration with a configurable destination link.
- Localized footer links with role-based visibility. Create footer links that appear only for Distributor own Customers, Seller Customers, or Seller administrators. Each link supports localized titles and URLs for every enabled language.
- Flexible content blocks for sign-in and catalogue pages. Add promotional banners, onboarding instructions, or compliance notices above or below the sign-in form and at the top of the product catalogue, with per-language content and optional HTML upload for advanced formatting.
- Post-sign-in routing. Choose whether authenticated Customers land on the product catalogue, their subscriptions list, or the organizations they manage, while deep links continue to work as expected.
Complex configuration scenarios:
- A Distributor can configure footer links visible only at the Seller workspace level (the Seller only placement option), which is useful for policy documents or partner-specific resources that should not appear to end Customers.
- Content blocks set at the Distributor level are inherited by all Seller platforms unless a Seller-specific block overrides them, allowing centralized messaging with local exceptions.
- The Custom startup page option under Public access lets organizations redirect unauthenticated visitors to a branded landing page hosted on their own domain, with per-language URLs and an HTTPS security requirement.
- Branding preview and Footer links preview let administrators see exactly how changes will appear to Customers before saving, reducing the risk of publishing unfinished work.
Overview tab
The Overview tab is the default landing page when you open Customer Platform in Settings. It gives you a quick health check of every configuration section, so you can see what is ready and what still needs attention.
How to access Customer platform:
- Log in to your Platform.
- Navigate to Settings in the left sidebar.
- Select Customer platform.
The Overview tab displays the following information:
- Section counter. A badge at the top shows how many of the seven sections are marked as ready (for example, "6 of 7 sections ready").
- Last saved indicator. The date, time, and name of the administrator who last saved any Customer Platform setting.
- Setup sequence guidance. A recommendation to set up Branding and Languages first, then Public access, Footer links, and the Post-sign-in destination.
- Ordered setup entries. Each of the seven sections is listed as a numbered row with a status icon, a short description of the section's current state (for example, "Logo and accent colour" or "4 languages enabled"), a status indicator (Ready or Optional), and a direct link arrow to navigate to that section's configuration tab.
The seven entries displayed on the Overview tab correspond to the remaining tabs: Branding, Languages, Public access, Footer links, Dates, Content blocks, and Post-sign-in. Selecting any entry or clicking the arrow navigates you directly to that tab.
Branding
The Branding tab lets you upload your Organization's logo and choose an accent colour that is applied to buttons, links, and highlights across the customer-facing Platform. Changes are shown in a live preview before you save.
Logo
The logo appears in the header of the Customer Platform and in emails sent from the Platform.
- Open the Branding tab.
- In the Logo section, select or drag a PNG file into the upload area.
- Accepted format: PNG only.
- Maximum file size: 200 KB.
- Once uploaded, the logo's filename, file size, and upload date are displayed.
- To remove an uploaded logo, select Remove logo.
NOTE! If you upload a file that is not a PNG or exceeds the 200 KB limit, the Platform displays inline feedback and the Save button remains disabled until you provide a valid file.
Accent colour
The accent colour is used for buttons, links, and highlights across the Customer Platform.
- In the Accent colour section, pick a colour from the preset palette, or select the Custom colour option.
- When using a custom colour, enter a six-digit hexadecimal value (for example, #BE123C). The Platform normalizes valid values to uppercase before saving.
- The colour swatch and hex code update immediately as you make changes, providing instant visual feedback.
NOTE! If you enter an invalid hexadecimal value, the Save button is blocked and field-level guidance appears explaining the accepted format. Only six-digit hexadecimal values are accepted — shorthand hex (three digits), RGB, or colour name inputs are not supported.
Preview branding
Before saving, you can preview how your logo and accent colour will appear to Customers:
- Select Preview branding at the bottom of the Branding tab.
- A Branding preview dialog opens, showing a sample header with your logo, accent-coloured navigation links, primary action buttons, hover-state buttons, and sample links.
- Review the preview, then select Close to return to the editor.
When you are satisfied with the results, select Save to apply the changes. Select Cancel to discard unsaved modifications.
Languages
The Languages tab lets you choose which languages your Customers can use on the Platform and set a default language for visitors whose browser language is not among the enabled options.
Available languages
The tab displays a list of all supported languages. Each row shows the English name, the native name, and the locale code (for example, "French · français · FR"). The list includes available languages.
Enable or disable a language
- Open the Languages tab.
- Select the checkbox next to any language to enable it. Clear the checkbox to disable it. You can also click the language name region to toggle the enabled state.
- An information badge at the top right (for example, "4 enabled") shows the total number of currently enabled languages.
- Select Save to apply your changes.
Set a default language
One enabled language must be designated as the default. The default language is used when content is missing in a visitor's language.
- Locate the language you want to set as default.
- Select the make default link to the right of that language row.
NOTE! The make default action is available only for languages that are already enabled and are not currently the default. Attempting to disable the default language is prevented, and a clear explanatory message is displayed. To change the default, first set another enabled language as the default, then disable the previous one if needed.
Handoff to Public access
At the bottom of the Languages tab, a contextual message reads: "Set registration and startup URLs for each language in Public access." Selecting the Public access link navigates you directly to the Public access tab, where you can configure per-language registration and startup URLs.
Public access
The Public access tab controls what visitors see before they sign in to the Platform. It contains the configuration area presented in Unauthenticated entry page.
Unauthenticated entry page
This setting determines what visitors see when they open the Platform without signing in. Three mutually exclusive options are available:
- Default — No redirect. Visitors can open any page that does not require signing in.
- Sign-in page — Visitors are sent to the sign-in page from every page.
- Custom startup page — Visitors are sent to a page you choose, whichever page they open. They can link from it to the sign-in page so they can sign in.
Configuring a Custom startup page:
- Select the Custom startup page option card.
- A Startup page URL field appears with language tabs corresponding to each enabled language (for example, EN, FR, IT, JA).
- Enter an HTTPS URL or a path starting with "/" for each language. Languages without a URL fall back to the default language.
- A completion indicator below the field shows how many languages have been configured (for example, "2 of 4 languages complete").
WARNING! Only link to trusted, Organization-managed HTTPS destinations. Visitors are sent to pre-authentication links before they sign in. Use https://, mailto:, tel:, or a path starting with /.
When switching back from Custom startup page to another option, the entered URL is preserved in the background. If you later switch back to Custom startup page, the previously entered URLs are still available.
Select Save to apply your changes, or select Cancel to discard them.
Footer links
The Footer links tab is a dedicated area within Customer Platform where you manage the links that appear in the footer of the customer-facing Platform. Footer links can be localized per language, targeted to specific audiences, and reordered to match your priorities.
Enable or disable footer links
At the top of the tab, a Show footer navigation switch with an On / Off indicator controls whether footer links are visible to visitors.
-
Turning off the switch hides the link library and the Link details editor without deleting your localized link data. A message explains that the configuration is preserved. When you turn the switch back on, all previously configured links and their localized values are restored.
Link library
When footer links are enabled, the left-hand side of the tab displays the Link library — a list of all your footer links. Each library row shows the display order number, Move earlier and Move later actions for reordering, the English title (or "Untitled link" if no title has been entered), the link placement (for example, "Distributor own customers, Seller only"), localized-completion indicators for each enabled language, and a non-colour selected state highlighting the currently active link.
Adding a footer link:
- Select + Add link above the link library.
- A new standard link is created with empty Title and Destination URL values for every supported locale.
- The new link is automatically selected, and its English localization opens by default in the Link details panel on the right.
Link details
When a link is selected in the library, the Link details panel appears on the right side. It contains:
- Three dots icon - allows to duplicate or fully remove the link
- Language tabs — One tab per enabled language (for example, EN, FR, IT, JA). Select a tab to edit the title and URL for that language.
- Title (EN) — The display text of the link in the selected language.
- URL (EN) — The destination URL for the selected language. The helper text states: "Optional. Use https://, mailto:, tel: or a path starting with /."
- Localized-completion indicator — Shows how many of the enabled languages have been configured (for example, "2 of 4 languages complete") with coloured badges per language.
- Clear EN button — Clears the title and URL for the currently selected language.
NOTE! The link is displayed only in languages that have a title. If a language has no title set, the link does not appear for visitors using that language.
Link placement
The Placement section within Link details controls where the link is visible. It offers accessible multi-select options:
- Distributor own customers — The link is visible to Customers who buy directly from you.
- Seller customers — The link is visible to Customers of your Sellers, added after the Seller's own links.
- Seller only — The link is visible to Seller administrators only and never appears in any end-Customer footer.
You can select one or more placements for each link. A description below each option explains who sees the link.
Footer link ordering and inheritance
The ordering rules for footer links follow a specific hierarchy:
- On a Seller Customer Platform, all applicable Seller-owned footer links render first, in the order the Seller has defined.
- Applicable Distributor-managed footer links render after the Seller-owned links as an appended group.
- A Distributor configuration cannot replace, lock, delete, modify, or reorder Seller-owned footer links or Seller editing controls.
Preview footer links
Before saving, you can preview how footer links will appear at every level in the chain:
-
Select Preview footer links at the bottom of the tab.
- The Footer preview dialog opens with three tabs: Distributor customers, Seller customers, and Seller workspace.
- A Preview language dropdown lets you switch the preview language (for example, EN).
- On the Seller customers and Seller workspace tabs, italic sample Seller links (for example, "Seller terms (sample)" and "Seller contact (sample)") are shown for illustration, followed by your Distributor-managed links.
- Select Close to return to the editor.
When you are satisfied, select Save to apply the changes. Select Cancel to discard unsaved modifications.
Dates
The Dates tab lets you select the date display format used wherever a date is shown to Customers on the Platform.
Display format
The tab contains a single Date format dropdown control and a current-date example that updates immediately when you change the selected format. The Dates tab does not include time-format or timezone controls.
The following nine formats are available, grouped by region convention:
Month first (US):
- MM/DD/YYYY — Month first · slash (for example, 01/31/2027)
- MM.DD.YYYY — Month first · dot (for example, 01.31.2027)
- MM-DD-YYYY — Month first · hyphen (for example, 01-31-2027)
Day first (EU):
- DD/MM/YYYY — Day first · slash (for example, 31/01/2027)
- DD.MM.YYYY — Day first · dot (for example, 31.01.2027)
- DD-MM-YYYY — Day first · hyphen (for example, 31-01-2027)
Year first (other regions):
- YYYY/MM/DD — Year first · slash (for example, 2027/01/31)
- YYYY.MM.DD — Year first · dot (for example, 2027.01.31)
- YYYY-MM-DD — Year first · hyphen (for example, 2027-01-31)
Select a format from the dropdown, review the live example below it, and select Save to apply the change.
NOTE! The dropdown displays the currently selected and saved preset by default. Dates in APIs are not affected by this setting; only dates shown in the Platform UI change.
Content blocks
The Content blocks tab lets you add optional, localized messages to the sign-in page and the product catalogue. These are described as optional localized messages for sign-in and product-catalogue surfaces. The term "HTML" is used only for advanced editing, upload, and sanitization guidance.
The tab has two sub-views, selectable at the top: Sign-in page and Product catalogue.
Sign-in page content blocks
The Sign-in page view lets you add a content block above or below the sign-in form.
- Select Sign-in page at the top of the Content blocks tab.
- Choose the position of your content block:
- Top — Above the sign-in form.
- Bottom — Below the sign-in form.
-
A status indicator (for example, "In use" or "Empty") shows whether content exists for that position.
- Access your products, sales channels, and account settings in one place.
- Use the language tabs (for example, EN, FR, IT, JA) to enter content in each enabled language.
- A rich text editor is provided with formatting options including bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, text alignment, headings, lists, links, images, and more.
- The localized-completion indicator (for example, "1 of 4 languages complete") shows progress across languages.
- Use Move to Bottom or Move to Top to change the position. Use Delete content block to remove the block entirely.
Show to (visibility):
For sign-in page content blocks, the "Show to" section controls visibility:
- Distributor own customers — Shown on your own Customer Platform.
- Seller customers — Shown on your Sellers' platforms when they have no message of their own.
NOTE! Content blocks set at the Distributor level are inherited by Seller platforms unless a Seller-specific configuration overrides them. The override replaces the entire block for that placement — there is no partial merge. The Content blocks tab explains this inheritance behaviour for the selected placement.
Advanced: upload an HTML file:
An expandable section labelled "Advanced: upload an HTML file" allows you to upload a custom HTML file for the selected language. The file content replaces the text for that language.
- Expand the Advanced: upload an HTML file section.
- Select Choose HTML file and upload your file.
- Select Save to apply.
WARNING! Scripts, iframes, forms, and event handlers are removed when you save an HTML file upload. Interactive or dynamic HTML content (such as embedded forms or JavaScript-driven components) will not function as expected after sanitization.
Preview sign-in page:
-
Select Preview sign-in page at the bottom of the tab.
- The preview shows the content block in its selected position (top or bottom), the visibility scope (for example, "VISIBLE TO DISTRIBUTOR OWN CUSTOMERS · SELLER CUSTOMERS"), and the actual sign-in form layout.
- Select Close to return to the editor.
Product catalogue content blocks
The Product catalogue view lets you add a content block shown at the top of the product catalogue.
- Select Product catalogue at the top of the Content blocks tab.
- Use the language tabs and rich text editor to enter content in each enabled language.
- Optionally upload an HTML file using the advanced section.
Show to (visibility for catalogue blocks):
The Content Block Visibility for the catalogue supports three options:
- Distributor own customers — Shown on your own Customer Platform.
- Seller customers — Shown on your Sellers' platforms when they have no message of their own.
- Seller only — Shown to Seller administrators only.
Product-catalogue blocks are available through the existing catalogue workflow and do not have a dedicated signed-in preview mode within the Content blocks tab. Use Delete content block to remove a catalogue block if needed.
Select Save to apply your changes, or select Cancel to discard them.
The result of configuration will be visible on Catalog page, accordingly to the selected visbility.
Post-sign-in destination
The Post-sign-in tab lets you choose which page Customers see after they successfully sign in. This setting applies only after authentication and does not change the public sign-in page.
Destination options
Three mutually exclusive destination cards are presented:
- Product Catalog — Customers start by browsing and ordering products.
- Subscriptions — Customers start with an overview of their subscriptions.
- Organizations — Customers start with the Organizations they manage.
The currently selected card shows a visible, non-colour selection cue and exposes an accessible selected state.
To change the destination:
- Open the Post-sign-in tab.
- Select the card for your preferred destination.
- Select Save to apply the change.
Current destination summary
Below the destination cards, a Current destination summary describes the selected destination in plain language (for example, "After signing in, customers go to Subscriptions."). It also clarifies that a valid existing deep link continues to return the Customer to the originally requested destination after authentication. This means that if a Customer opens a direct link to a specific page and is redirected to sign in, they will be taken to that originally requested page after signing in — not to the default post-sign-in destination.
Unsaved changes protection
All tabs within Customer Platform share a common safeguard against accidental data loss. When you attempt to leave a tab or the workspace after making changes that have not been saved, navigation is blocked and a confirmation dialog appears.
The dialog offers three choices:
- Stay on page — Keeps you on the current tab so you can continue editing or review your changes.
- Discard changes — Restores the saved baseline (the last saved state) and proceeds with navigation. All unsaved modifications are lost.
- Save and leave — Persists your current draft and then navigates away.
This behaviour applies consistently across all Customer Platform tabs: Branding, Languages, Public access, Footer links, Dates, Content blocks, and Post-sign-in.
Summary
The Customer Platform settings area in Settings provides a centralized workspace for managing every aspect of the customer-facing Platform. The Overview tab gives administrators a quick completion status for all seven configuration areas. The Branding tab controls the logo and accent colour with a live preview. The Languages tab manages which languages are available and which one is the default. The Public access tab configures the unauthenticated entry page, including per-language custom startup URLs. The Footer links tab provides a full link library with localization, audience-based placement, and ordering controls, plus a multi-perspective preview. The Dates tab offers a single dropdown for choosing the date display format across the Platform. The Content blocks tab lets you add localized messages above or below the sign-in form and at the top of the product catalogue, with rich text editing and optional HTML file upload. The Post-sign-in tab determines where Customers land after authentication, while preserving deep-link behaviour. Every tab is protected by an unsaved-changes dialog that prevents accidental data loss. Together, these settings ensure a branded, localized, and well-structured experience for every Customer in the distribution chain.
