How to Reset Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Introduction
This article explains the process of resetting Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Appxite users who have lost access to their registered account in the Authenticator app. Reset MFA is needed when the Appxite user does not have access anymore to previously registered account in the Authenticator app on a mobile device, very often following changing a mobile phone or some additional scenarios.

Prerequisites and User Roles
Reset MFA is available to the administrator user roles (Distributor Admin or Seller Admin).
NOTE! Reset MFA is only applicable to the users which selected 'Account' option during user invitation as other invitation methods (e.g. Live ID) have their own proprietary verification mechanisms.
How to Reset MFA
To reset Multi-Factor Authentication for a user, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Users section, select the particular User, and select Reset MFA next:
- You will be presented with the following confirmation prompt. Select Confirm or Cancel:
- Upon selecting Confirm, you will be presented with a prompt message in the bottom right corner informing you if the operation was successful and if not, the reason of failure.

Limitations
Currently, there are no known limitations for the MFA reset functionality. The process works seamlessly for all users who have accounts created with the 'Account' option during invitation.
