This article provides Indirect Sellers with essential information about the Microsoft Partner Agreement (MPA) transition, including key dates, requirements, and impact on operations with AppXite. The article covers the replacement of existing seller terms, acceptance procedures, and enforcement timelines to ensure uninterrupted access to the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider program.

Understanding the MPA transition

On June 28, Microsoft sent a non-renewal notice to all Indirect Sellers onboarded to Microsoft Partner Center. This notice informed Partners of the expiration of existing seller terms ("Terms and Conditions Governing Indirect Sellers") which will be replaced with the Microsoft Partner Agreement starting September 1, 2019.

Starting September 1, 2019, the new Microsoft Partner Agreement became available for all Partners in the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider program, including Indirect Sellers. The existing seller terms and conditions governing Indirect Sellers were replaced by the Microsoft Partner Agreement when it became available on September 1, 2019.

MPA acceptance process

The Microsoft Partner Agreement is available on Microsoft Partner Center starting September 1st, 2019.

NOTE! Partners must complete the acceptance process within the specified timeframe to maintain their Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider program access.

To complete the MPA acceptance:

  1. Review Microsoft Partner Agreement (starting July 31, 2019)
  2. Access Microsoft Partner Center between September 1, 2019 and January 31, 2020
  3. Accept Microsoft Partner Agreement on Microsoft Partner Center

Impact on AppXite operations

The Microsoft Partner Agreement transition does not impact the way of working with AppXite. All existing processes and operations continue unchanged.

Indirect Sellers can continue their normal business operations through the Platform without any modifications to their workflow or procedures.

Enforcement timeline

Microsoft has established a strict enforcement timeline for Microsoft Partner Agreement acceptance:

September 1, 2019 – January 31, 2020: Indirect Sellers must accept the terms of the Microsoft Partner Agreement.

After January 31, 2020: Indirect Sellers who have not accepted the Microsoft Partner Agreement will have their Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider transactions blocked.

From August 31, 2020: Indirect Sellers who have not accepted Microsoft Partner Agreement will be off-boarded from the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider program.

WARNING! Failure to accept the Microsoft Partner Agreement by the specified deadlines will result in blocked transactions and potential program removal.

Summary

The Microsoft Partner Agreement replaces existing seller terms for all Indirect Sellers in the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider program. Partners must accept the agreement through Microsoft Partner Center between September 1, 2019, and January 31, 2020, to maintain uninterrupted access to Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider services. The transition does not affect operations with AppXite, allowing Partners to continue their normal business processes.
