How to create and edit Products? New UI
Introduction
This article explains how to create a new Product in Product Management and describes the fields required when filling in product details. Creating a Product is the first step before generating Offers and linking them to it. Multiple Offers can be associated with a single Product.

Product offer hierarchy
The diagram below illustrates how Products and Offers relate to each other on the platform. A single Product can have multiple Offers associated with it.
Products grid overview
The Products grid in Product Management provides an overview of all existing Products. It includes improved search, sorting, filtering, and column customization to streamline day-to-day operations.
Columns
The grid displays the following columns by default:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Product Name | Name of the Product. Can be sorted and filtered. |
| # of Offers | Total number of Offers linked to the Product. |
| Updated On | Date the Product was last edited. |
| Updated By | Name of the Platform User who last edited the Product. |
| Created On | Date the Product was created. |
| Actions | Action icons always visible in the grid. See Actions below. |
You can show or hide columns using the Columns toggle in the upper-right corner of the grid. Product Name is a required column and cannot be hidden.
Actions
Each row in the Products grid includes the following action icons in the Actions column:
| Icon | Tooltip | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Pencil | Edit Product | Opens the Product for editing. |
| Eye | View Offers | Navigates to the Offers associated with the Product. |
| + | Create Offer | Opens the form to add a new Offer to the Product. |
| Trash | Delete Product | Prompts a confirmation dialog before deleting the Product. |
Search and navigation
- Use the search box in the upper-left corner of the grid to search by Product name or product ID.
- Sort and filter options appear on hover over each column header.
- Use the Go to page input at the bottom of the grid to navigate directly to a specific page.
- Columns can be reordered by dragging and dropping the column headers.
Secrets
The Secrets tab sits next to Products on the Products & Offers page and opens the Secrets grid. Secrets are encrypted values used by the platform's integrations with the Vendor's systems — for example, API keys, authentication tokens, or other sensitive configuration values.

How to create a new product
To create a new Product, follow the steps below.
- In Product Management, go to the Products tab.
- Select New Product.
- The New Product form opens. Fill in the required fields as described below.
Product details
- Name (required) — enter the Product name as it will appear in the catalog.
- Description (required) — enter a short description of the Product. We recommend 2–3 sentences that highlight the product's value proposition. This text is displayed below the Product Name in the catalog.
-
Language — use the globe icon next to any field to provide localized content.
Start with English, complete the form, then select +Add for another language (for example, Swedish or Norwegian) and fill in the translated details.
Product image
-
Image (required) — upload a product logo image or provide a publicly accessible image URL (HTTP). The image is displayed in the catalog alongside the Product Name.
Image requirements:
- Minimum size: 100×100 pixels
- Recommended size: 400×400 pixels
- Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, GIF, or SVG
- Maximum file size: 5 MB
- Aspect ratio: 1:1
Custom identifier
By default, the system automatically generates a unique Product ID. To assign your own ID instead, enable the Use custom product ID toggle. A Custom ID input field will appear — enter your preferred identifier.
How to edit a Product
You can edit an existing Product. In the Products grid, locate the Product you want to update and select the Edit Product icon (blue pencil) in the Actions column.
Selecting the icon opens the Edit Product page. The page is organised in the same two sections as the Product creation form, so the same input rules and localisation behaviour apply (see How to create a new Product for field-level details):
- Product Details — update the Name and Description. Both fields support multiple languages; switch language using the language indicator in the top-right corner of each field.
- Product Image — select Change to upload a different image, or Remove to clear the current image.
The Product ID shown in the top-right corner of the page is system-generated and read-only; it cannot be changed.
When all changes are complete, select Update Product to save. Select Cancel to discard changes and return to the Products grid.
Products and Offers on the Platform
Once a Product is created, it is visible in the catalog alongside its associated Offers. The catalog view displays the following elements:
Products and Offers as displayed in the catalog.
- Product Name
- Vendor name
- Product description
- Product logo
- Offer SKU information (vendor, Offer name, and SKU ID)
- More information (additional Offer details)
- Buy now button
Summary
You have learned how to create a new Product in Product Management and how to fill in the required details, including the product name, description, image, and optional custom identifier. You also explored the Products grid, which provides improved search, column customization, and streamlined action icons for efficient product management.
