How to create and manage Pricing Plans? New UI
Introduction
This article explains how to create and manage Pricing Plans for an Offer in Product Management Hub. A Pricing Plan defines the prices applied to an Offer based on Effective Date, Currency, and Country. Each Offer can have one or more Pricing Plans — for example, separate Pricing Plans for different currencies or end-customer countries. Pricing Plans are managed through CPQ, which opens automatically when a Pricing Plan is created or edited.

Accessing Pricing Plans
To access Pricing Plans for an Offer:
- Sign in to Vendor Portal. For details on signing in and navigating the tool, see Product Management overview.
- Open the relevant Vendor and go to the Products & Offers page.
- Select the desired Product to display its Offers.
- In the Offers grid, locate the row of the Offer you want to manage.
- In the Actions column, select the Edit Pricing Plan icon (price tag).
Managing Pricing Plans
Selecting the Edit Pricing Plan icon opens the Pricing Plans page for the selected Offer. The page lists all existing Pricing Plans linked to the Offer.
Step indicator
At the top of the page, a step indicator shows the current step in the overall Offer configuration. The active step is Pricing. The remaining steps are Billing Rules, Provisioning, and Review & Publish. The Offer Details step appears completed (checkmark).
Grid columns
The Pricing Plans grid displays the following columns:
- Effective Date — date from which the Pricing Plan is active.
- Currency — currency in which the Pricing Plan is defined (for example, EUR).
- Country — country (or countries) to which the Pricing Plan applies. ALL means the Pricing Plan applies to every country.
- Custom Billing — indicates whether custom billing rules apply to the Pricing Plan. This value is not configured on the Pricing Plan itself — it is set later in the Offer configuration, in the Billing Rules step. The column shows No by default and updates once Billing Rules are configured. For details, see How to configure Billing rules in the Product Management Hub.
- Last Updated By — user who last modified the Pricing Plan.
- Last Updated Date — date of the last modification.
- Actions — per-row actions (described below).
The Country column header includes a filter icon that can be used to filter the list by country.
Pricing Plan row actions
Each row in the Pricing Plans grid provides one action:
- View Pricing Plan (eye icon, green) — opens the Pricing Plan in CPQ, where it can be viewed.
- Edit Pricing Plan (pencil icon, blue) - opens the Pricing Plan in CPQ, where it can be reviewed and edited.
After selecting one of the icons, you are redirected to the CPQ authorisation page. Sign in using your account; on subsequent visits, the page typically remembers your last login method.
Once signed in, the CPQ Design wizard opens, where the Pricing Plan can be edited. In the Design wizard you can:
- Edit the Pricing Plan structure, prices, and rules.
- Select Preview to see how the Pricing Plan will be presented to the Customer.
- Select Save Plan to save your changes.
Creating a new Pricing Plan
To create a new Pricing Plan, open the Pricing Plans page for the Offer (as described in Accessing Pricing Plans) and select the New Plan button next to the Pricing Plans header.
Selecting New Plan redirects you to the list of existing Pricing Plans in CPQ. The CPQ Plans list shows the columns Date From, Currency, Country, Last Update By, and Last Updated Date, plus per-row actions: View, Remove, and Copy.
Select Create New to open the Create new pricing plan dialog, and complete the following fields:
- Effective from — date from which the new Pricing Plan will be active.
- Currency — currency for the Pricing Plan (for example, Euro (EUR)).
- Country — country to which the Pricing Plan applies. Selecting All applies the Pricing Plan to every country; selecting a specific country makes the Pricing Plan available only for purchases where the end Customer country matches. For more details, see Use case scenario: Pricing Plan per Country.
Select OK to confirm, or Cancel to discard.
After confirming, you are directed to the CPQ Design section, where you can start building the Pricing Plan (adding fields, prices, rules, and other controls).
What is CPQ?
CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) is a separate application used by Product Management to design and edit Pricing Plans. Whenever a Pricing Plan is created or opened for editing, Product Management redirects to CPQ, where the actual plan structure, prices, and rules are configured through a drag-and-drop Design wizard.
For details on the CPQ Design section, see Design section overview.
Pricing plan update restrictions
If a pricing plan's effective date is today's date or in the future, pricing plan can not be edited after configuration. However, when editing or updating such pricing plans, a tooltip will be displayed if there are active subscriptions associated with this pricing plan, and user will be prevented from updating such pricing plans.
Effective from – Always is the next day or further date for the very first price of the offer.
This ensures that users are informed of existing active subscriptions and can avoid making changes that would result in non-applicable or dysfunctional form values.
If updates are required regardless, Support should be contacted to configure the changes.
Similar notification will be shown if the copied pricing plan also has active subscriptions. However the user will be informed that the copy will not affect the existing active subscriptions, and changes can be safely made to the new plan.
Summary
Pricing Plans define the prices applied to an Offer based on Effective Date, Currency, and Country. They are managed from the Pricing Plans page, which is reached by selecting the Edit Pricing Plan (price tag) icon next to an Offer. Each Pricing Plan can be viewed and edited in CPQ using the eye icon, and new Pricing Plans are created with the New Plan button — which redirects to CPQ, where basic details (effective date, currency, country) are selected before opening the Design section to build the plan. At least one Pricing Plan must exist before an Offer can be published. Always remember to use Save Plan in the CPQ Design wizard to persist any changes.
