Contract Custom fields
Introduction
This article describes how to add Custom Fields to Invoice Contracts, making it easier to track important details. It also explains how to set up and manage these fields.
In this article:
Custom Fields can be added to Invoice Contracts to enrich important reference numbers and other contract specifics typically used by company or system. Custom Fields will display on the Invoice Contract details page, under the Customer profile.
Select Invoice Contract Entity
To begin using Contract Custom Fields, navigate to Settings > Custom Fields > +Add new:
Configure Custom Field Options
Custom Fields can be configured with specific options, including:
- Add Name of the Custom Field
- Select Invoice Contract from the entity options
- Type: choose between Text, Number, Checkbox, Single select drop-down or Multi-select drop-down Checkbox
- Choose whether the field is required
- Choose whether the field can be modified after its initial configuration
- Choose which Organization the field will be available to
- Choose which roles from the list will have access to the field
After completing the configuration, click "Save" to create your Custom Field.
How Custom Fields Display
This is how the Contract Custom Fields are displayed on the Invoice Contract page:
The Custom Fields appear in the "Additional details" section under the Customer information on the Invoice Contract details page.
Limitations
Partners cannot edit Invoice Contract currency via UI. For example, for newly onboarded Seller Invoice Contract currency will be inherited from the parent contract. To change that currently requires submitting a support request to AppXite.
