How do I suspend a Subscription for the Customer?
Introduction
This article explains how to suspend a customer’s subscription in the platform. The process applies to all vendors, but please note that vendor-specific cancellation policies may apply.
For Example:
Microsoft NCE subscriptions cannot be suspended or cancelled mid-term in the AppXite Platform. They can only be cancelled during the designated cancellation window. Microsoft Software/Perpetual offers are not allowed to be suspended.
In contrast, AvePoint subscriptions can be suspended at any time in the AppXite Platform. This is because their products are configured with no-commitment restrictions in the platform, even if they technically have commitment periods.
Before suspending any subscriptions, please read throught the Vendor cancellation policies.

Steps to Suspend a Subscription
1. For resellers, Log in on behalf of the customer. For customers, just login to your organization then follow the steps below:
-
Go to the Subscription tab.
Select the subscription you want to suspend.
2. Open the Edit Page
Click the Edit button to make changes.
A pop-up window will appear with scheduling options.
Scheduling Options:
Now – The order is created and processed immediately.(This option is always selected when suspending a subscription or when turning off auto-renewal)
On renewal – Schedules the change to take effect at the next renewal. (Some vendors do not allow changes during an active commitment period. In such cases, the option will appear disabled.)
Custom date – Allows you to select a future date. The suspension request will be sent to the vendor on that date and will take effect once the vendor processes it.
3. Change Subscription Status
Uncheck the Status box.
The status indicator will turn grey.
Click Save changes.
NOTE!
Once suspended, some subscriptions may not be reactivated.
Suspended subscriptions cannot be upgraded, downgraded, or reconfigured. The configuration page will be read-only.
4. Accept Terms & Conditions
After saving changes, a pop-up with Terms & Conditions will appear.
- Read through the Terms & Conditions then
Click I agree to confirm.
5. Review the Order
A notification bar will confirm that a change order was submitted.
Click View Order to review details. The system will redirect you to the order details page.
For All vendors: Suspension behavior depends on the vendor’s policies. Some vendors allow immediate suspension, while others require suspension on renewal or at a scheduled date.
Summary
Subscription suspension varies by vendor policy. Microsoft New Commerce Experience Subscriptions can only be cancelled during the cancellation window and cannot be suspended mid-term, while other vendors like AvePoint allow suspension at any time. To suspend a Subscription, go to the SUBSCRIPTIONS tab, select the Subscription, click Edit, uncheck the Status box, and save changes. Suspended Subscriptions may not be reactivable and cannot be modified. Always review vendor cancellation policies before suspending.
