Manage add-on subscriptions
Introduction
This article explains how to manage Add-on Subscriptions for your existing Subscriptions. Understanding Add-on Subscription management will help you adjust quantities, edit pricing, and track License assignments effectively.

Accessing add-on subscriptions
If a Subscription has Add-on Subscriptions, an Add-On Products (1) link will appear in the Add-On column of the SUBSCRIPTIONS tab. If Add-on Subscriptions have been purchased, the number of Add-on Subscriptions will be displayed as a Gear icon (2) in this column.
Click the Gear icon to view details of your Add-on Subscriptions.
Editing add-on quantities
To change the Quantity of an Add-on Subscription:
- Click the Gear icon in the Add-On column.
- Adjust the Quantity as needed.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Managing add-on pricing
To edit pricing for an Add-on Subscription:
- Click the Pencil icon next to the Add-on Subscription.
- A new page will appear where you can manage prices.
- Make your desired price adjustments.
- Save your changes.
Understanding assigned licenses
The Assigned Licenses column displays important information about License assignments:
0 assigned licenses: Purchased Licenses have not been assigned to users. Licenses can be assigned through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
Asterisk (*): Assigned Licenses are shared between similar Subscriptions.
Double asterisk ():** Assigned Licenses are shared between similar Subscriptions, but do not include Licenses purchased from different service providers.
Click on the asterisks to view detailed information about License sharing.
Summary
Add-on Subscriptions can be managed from the SUBSCRIPTIONS tab where they appear with an Add-On Products link or Gear icon when purchased. Click the Gear icon to view Add-on Subscription details and adjust quantities, or click the Pencil icon to manage pricing. The Assigned Licenses column shows whether Licenses have been assigned through Microsoft 365 Admin Center, with asterisks indicating when Licenses are shared between similar Subscriptions. Understanding these indicators helps you track License usage and ensure proper assignment to users.
