Identifying Unavailable Products
When viewing your catalog, you will notice a red warning icon attached to certain products. This visual indicator immediately identifies products that are not available for purchase or distribution in your current context.
Understanding Unavailability Reasons
When you hover your cursor over the red warning icon, a tooltip will display the message: "Unavailable for your country, industry or contract".
This unavailability status can occur due to several specific reasons:
- Missing Contract Agreement - No contractual relationship exists between the Vendor and Partner for this specific product
- Geographic Restrictions - The product is not licensed or approved for distribution in the Partner's country or region
- Industry Eligibility Limitations - The customer's industry sector (such as Education or Nonprofit) is not eligible to purchase this particular product
- Product Status Issues - The product has been decommissioned by the vendor or has not yet been finalized for general availability
Summary
The product unavailable badge system provides clear visual indicators when products cannot be offered through your catalog. Understanding these indicators helps Distributors and Sellers effectively manage their product offerings and communicate limitations to their customers. The system ensures compliance with vendor policies, contractual obligations, and regional restrictions while maintaining transparency in catalog management.
