How to reset Notification Settings to default?

Introduction

This article guides Distributor Admins and Seller Admins through the process of resetting notification settings to their default configuration. You can reset all notification settings at once or target specific events for individual reset operations.

Access Notification Settings

To begin managing notification settings, you must first navigate to the appropriate section within the Platform.

1. Log in to your Platform
2. Navigate to Settings
   
3. Select Notification Settings
   
   
4. Click Events tab
   

Reset All Notification Settings

When you need to restore all notification settings to their original configuration, use the global reset option available on the main events page.

1. Locate and click the Reset to default button on the Events page
   
2. A confirmation dialog will appear
   
3. Select Confirm to proceed with the reset operation
   

Warning! Resetting the notification settings to default on the list of notifications events page, will only update the ON/OFF toggles.

Reset Individual Event Settings

For more granular control, you can reset notification settings for specific events without affecting the entire configuration.

1. Identify the desired notification event in the Events list
2. Click the Edit button next to the target notification
   
3. The event details will open in a new window with two available tabs:
    
   • Email tab for email notification settings
   • Webhook tab for webhook notification settings
4. Within either tab, locate the Reset to default option
   
5. Click Reset to default to proceed
6. Confirm the action when prompted
   

The system provides flexibility by allowing you to reset settings individually for Email and Webhook configurations within the same event.

Confirmation and Results

After initiating any reset operation, the system will display a confirmation dialog to prevent accidental changes.

1. Review the confirmation message: "Are you sure you want to reset settings to default?"
2. Choose between:
   • Cancel to abort the operation
   • Confirm to proceed with the reset
3. Upon successful completion, the system displays: "Your notification setting has been reset to default successfully"

Limitations

Warning! Resetting the notification settings to default on individual event page, will not update the ON/OFF toggles but will bring the list of the recipients back to the default values and re-enable the inheritance from default levels.
