This article explains how the Platform handles Preferred Currency resets when a Seller disables a currency previously selected by a Customer. The system ensures Customers are promptly informed when their preferred payment currency is changed due to Seller configuration updates.

In this article:

When a Seller disables a currency that was previously selected by a Customer as their Preferred Currency, the Platform automatically sends a notification to inform the affected Customer about the currency change.

Notification Recipients

The notification is sent to specific contacts based on the configured recipient settings:

Primary Recipients:

  • Customer's billing contact (required)

Optional Recipients:

  • Seller Primary contact
  • Seller Billing contact
  • Customer Primary contact

WARNING! Notification recipients can be customized on the Settings page. Ensure the correct contacts are configured to receive these important payment-related notifications.

Email Template and Content

The notification email includes the following key information:

  • Clear explanation that the Customer's Preferred Currency has been reset
  • Identification of the new currency that will be used
  • Reason for the change (currency no longer supported by Seller)
  • Link to access the Platform
  • Contact information for Customer Support

The email uses a professional template with the company logo and maintains consistent branding throughout the message.
