Understanding renewal notifications

When a subscription's Auto-Renewal is approaching, the Platform automatically sends reminder notifications to the Customer's primary contact. These reminders help ensure customers are informed about upcoming renewals and have time to review or modify their subscriptions before the Renewal date.

Notification timing and frequency

The Platform sends renewal reminders at three different intervals before the subscription renews:

  • 60 days before renewal
  • 35 days before renewal
  • 7 days before renewal

The timing of these notifications depends on the subscription's Term Duration and ensures customers have adequate advance notice to make any necessary changes.

What customers see in renewal reminders

In the renewal notification, customers receive detailed information about their upcoming renewal, including:

  • Subscription name and current status
  • Auto-Renewal setting (ON or OFF)
  • Current Customer Price per Billing Cycle
  • Estimated Customer Price for the next Term
  • Total costs per Billing Cycle

The notification also includes a reminder that the information does not reflect any pending orders or scheduled changes that may take effect at the end of the Term. Customers are encouraged to check each Subscription separately for complete details.

Additionally, the email provides contact information for your support team if customers have questions or need assistance.

Managing notification recipients

The renewal notification is sent to the following recipients by default:

  • To: Customer Primary Contact
  • Cc: (optional)
  • Bcc: (optional)

You can configure the optional CC and BCC recipients by navigating to the Settings page in the Platform. This allows you to ensure relevant stakeholders receive copies of renewal notifications sent to your customers.
