Understanding Subscription Change Notifications

When a subscription is successfully changed, including any status updates, the platform automatically sends a notification to inform relevant users about the modification. This ensures transparency and keeps all stakeholders updated on subscription activities.

NOTE! Notifications are triggered immediately after the subscription change is processed, ensuring real-time communication about important subscription updates.

The notification system covers various types of subscription modifications to provide comprehensive coverage of all significant changes that affect users and their services.

Notification Recipients and Settings

The notification system follows a structured approach to determine who receives subscription change notifications:

Primary Recipients:

  • User involved in event - The person who performed the subscription change operation receives the notification
  • Cc (optional): Reseller Primary - The primary reseller contact can be included when configured
  • Bcc (optional) - Additional recipients can be added as needed

Notification Settings Configuration: Recipients can be customized through the platform's notification settings. To modify who receives these notifications:

  1. Navigate to the Settings page
  2. Access Notification Settings section
  3. Configure the desired recipients for subscription change notifications

For detailed instructions on configuring notification settings, refer to the Notification Settings page article.

Types of Changes That Trigger Notifications

The subscription change notification system monitors and reports on several key modification types:

  • Subscription name changes - When the subscription title or identifier is modified
  • Quantity of licenses - Increases or decreases in the number of licenses
  • Billing frequency updates - Changes between monthly, yearly, or other billing cycles
  • AutoRenewal status changes - Enabling or disabling automatic renewal settings

Each notification provides clear before-and-after comparison data to help recipients understand exactly what changed in the subscription.

Notification Content and Format

The notification email includes comprehensive details about the subscription changes:

Email Structure:

  • Subject line - Clearly identifies the subscription change notification
  • Customer information - Identifies the affected customer
  • Subscription details - Shows the subscription name and reference
  • Change summary - Provides a detailed comparison table

Change Comparison Table: The notification includes a structured table showing:

  • Previous values - The original subscription settings
  • New values - The updated subscription configuration
  • Affected attributes - All modified subscription parameters

This format ensures recipients can quickly understand what changes occurred and assess any necessary follow-up actions.
