Release Notes 219
Improved Custom Invoice Accuracy with Invoice Line Details, Auto Pricing, and Receiver Identification
This release improves the Custom Invoice experience by increasing clarity, reducing manual errors, and strengthening invoice traceability. “Custom Charge Details” has been renamed to “Invoice Line Details,” enabling partners to more clearly reference related invoices and align with business terminology. Total Price is now automatically calculated as Quantity × Unit Price across invoice creation flows, minimizing manual input errors while still allowing flexible overrides when needed. Additionally, invoice receiver identification has been updated to display both Organization Name and Organization ID (GUID), eliminating ambiguity when multiple entities share the same name and enabling more precise search.

Strengthened Pricing Governance with Dedicated Price Tier Admin Role
The introduction of the Price Tier Admin Role strengthens governance and operational clarity by separating pricing responsibilities from the broader Distributor Admin function. By removing access to price tier visibility and management from Distributor Admins and consolidating these permissions under a dedicated role, the system reduces the risk of unauthorized changes and improves control over pricing strategies. Automatically assigning the new role to existing Distributor Admin users ensures continuity while enabling more precise permission management going forward. Overall, this change enhances security, supports better compliance, and streamlines pricing administration by clearly defining ownership and accountability.

Promotion API Available Through APIM
The Promotions system is now available through APIM, enabling vendors to integrate promotion management directly into their external systems and automate pricing operations across the partner network. Through the new Promotion APIs, vendors can create promotions, filter promotions by criteria, retrieve promotion details by ID, enable or disable promotions, and synchronize promotions and promotion changes directly to subscriptions. This enhancement extends the platform’s targeted promotion capabilities with greater automation, operational efficiency, and seamless integration with existing business and billing workflows.

Ability to Apply and Manage Promotions on Existing Subscriptions
The platform now enables partners to apply and manage promotional pricing on existing subscriptions, eliminating the need for re-provisioning or manual workarounds when subscriptions are created outside the standard purchase flow. This is particularly valuable for imported subscriptions or vendor-managed deals, allowing partners to seamlessly align pricing with active promotions and agreements. With flexible API-driven control, partners can add, extend, replace, or remove promotions while preserving full pricing history for audit and reporting purposes. This functionality improves pricing accuracy, accelerates promotional rollouts, and ensures that end customers consistently benefit from the correct discounts, ultimately increasing operational efficiency and revenue alignment.

EST and Renewal Management API Available Through API
The Microsoft Extended Service Term (EST) and auto-renewal management system is now available through API, enabling partners and vendors to integrate renewal control directly into their external systems and automate end-of-term decisions across the customer base. Through the updated Subscription and Orders APIs, partners can retrieve subscriptions with their full Scheduled Action Type, filter EST-ready subscriptions by renewal intent, switch the end-of-term behavior between Auto Renewal On, Auto Renewal Off (which protects customers from unexpected EST conversion), and On + Conditional Service Continuation for intentional EST transitions - using the same three values exposed in the UI. This enhancement extends the platform's renewal capabilities with greater automation, operational efficiency, and seamless integration with existing subscription management workflows.
