How to brand the Organization in Business Central
Introduction
This article guides administrators through the process of customizing the visual appearance of their Business Central Organization by creating custom themes. You can upload company logos and configure color schemes for the navigation bar, text, icons, and accent elements to give your organization a unique, professional look.

To give your Organization a unique visual identity, you need to brand it through custom themes in Business Center.
Access the Admin Center
- Go to the upper left corner of your Microsoft 365 interface
- Click on App launcher
- Select Admin center
Navigate to Custom Themes
- In the Admin Center, open Settings
- Click on Org settings
- Select Organization profile
- Choose Custom themes
Create a New Theme
Click on Add theme button to begin customizing your organization's appearance.
A customization dialog will appear with three tabs: General, Logos, and Colors.
Configure General Settings
In the General tab, you can configure the following options:
- Enter a name for your theme in the Name field
- Select whether to prevent users from overriding their theme
- Choose whether to show the user's display name in the navigation bar
Upload Logos
In the Logos tab, you can upload visual branding elements:
Default Logo
Add a logo image for your Organization. This logo will appear in the standard interface view.
- Select Url from the dropdown
- Enter the HTTPS URL where your logo is hosted
- Alternatively, upload an image file directly
Alternate Logo
Upload an alternate version of your logo optimized for Office dark themes and darker brand color palettes. This should meet the same requirements as the default logo.
On-click Link
Configure where users will be redirected when they click the logo. If no URL is specified, the link will default to the Microsoft 365 homepage.
Set Color Schemes
In the Colors tab, customize the visual appearance of Microsoft apps and services:
Navigation Bar Color
Set the background color of the top navigation bar.
Text and Icon Color
Configure the color that affects text and icons displayed on the navigation bar.
Accent Color
Define the color for accent buttons, links, and other interactive elements.
Each color setting displays:
- A hex color code input field
- A color picker
- A validation checkmark when contrast requirements are met
When you're satisfied with your configuration, click Save to apply the changes.
Summary
Once you complete these steps, your Organization will have a branded appearance in Business Central. All users in your organization will see the custom theme you've created, including your company logo and selected color scheme in the navigation bar and throughout Microsoft apps and services.
The custom theme helps create a consistent, professional brand experience for all users within your Organization.
