Appxite

Introduction

This article guides Seller Admins in modifying existing Markup configurations within Customer Prices. It covers the limitations of deleting markup configurations, the process for modifying current price settings, and the impact on existing subscriptions. Understanding these procedures ensures proper price management for your Customers.

In this article:

Understanding Markup Deletion Limitations

Once a Markup of any type (Generic, Vendor, Offer, or Customer specific) is created on the Platform, it cannot be deleted from the Customer Prices page.

NOTE! The only exception applies to markups configured in future periods (with the start date set in the future) or for customer specific price configurations with start date set as today's date, in cases where the Customer has no subscriptions or orders placed.

Removing Future Markup Configurations

To remove eligible future markup configurations, follow these steps:

  1. Select the target period
  2. Click Remove

  3. Click Save

Modifying Existing Markup Configuration

The existing current price configurations cannot be removed. However, they can be modified at any time. This option is only available for users with Seller Admin (or higher) role on the Platform.

Access Customer Prices

Navigate to CatalogCustomer Prices.

Click on the markup configuration record from the list.

Add New Price Period

On the Price Edit page, click Add.

Define New Pricing Period

Set the new pricing period by configuring the following:

  1. Define the From and Till dates
  2. Save the dates configuration
  3. Set the new desired pricing configuration in the newly defined period

NOTE! Normally price configuration can be set with From date tomorrow or later. Exception is customer specific price configurations, where if the Customer has no subscriptions or orders placed, start date can be set as today's date or later.

Confirm Changes

In the pop-up window, confirm the change by clicking Confirm.

Save Price Configuration

Review the price settings, and click Save at the bottom of the page to save the new price configuration.

Important Considerations

NOTE! You can cancel the new price period editing or the entire price configuration process at any time by clicking the corresponding Cancel button.

NOTE! Offer names cannot be changed.

NOTE! The new price configuration will be shown on the Customer Prices page starting from its effective date.

NOTE! Existing commitment-based subscriptions would pick up the new price configuration only on renewal. Existing Usage-Based Subscriptions (e.g. Azure Plan) would not be affected by the new price configuration. Markups for existing subscriptions can be updated on subscriptions themselves via change order.

Summary

This article provides Seller Admins with comprehensive guidance on modifying existing Markup configurations within Customer Prices. While current markups cannot be deleted, they can be modified by adding new pricing periods with future effective dates. Understanding these limitations and procedures ensures accurate price management across all Customer Segments.
