How to view prorated prices in the Price Table
Introduction
This article explains the pro-rated view in the Price table, available to Distributors and Sellers when purchasing or reviewing a Subscription that falls in the middle of a Billing Cycle. The pro-rated view lets Partners see their own buy and sell prices for the first, incomplete Billing Period — not just the price shown to the Customer.
This article is intended for Distributors and Sellers.

What is the pro-rated Price table view
When a Customer buys a Subscription mid-cycle, the Platform charges only for the days remaining in the current Billing Cycle. The pro-rated Customer Price is shown in the Pro-Rated Price panel of the Price Configuration card — see Pro-Rated Price panel below.
The Price table — the breakdown showing what the Distributor and Seller pay and charge — shows the same kind of pro-rated numbers for each Partner tier, not only the regular, full-period price.
NOTE! The pro-rated Price table view is only available when the Vendor and Product support pro-rated pricing. Pro-rated pricing is not available for every Product — it applies to a limited set of Vendors.
Where to find the toggle
The toggle is available on the Price table on both the Offer Buy page and the Subscription details page. Look for two buttons at the top right of the Price table: Regular and Pro-rated.
- Regular is selected by default, showing full-period prices.
- Pro-rated carries a small badge with the proration period, for example 55/365d, meaning 55 out of 365 days of the current Billing Period.
NOTE! The toggle only appears when pro-rated pricing applies to the Subscription you are viewing. If it does not apply, the Price table shows only the Regular view.
Understanding the Pro-rated view
Selecting Pro-rated updates the Price table as follows:
- The Billing Cycle column changes from the regular cycle (for example, "Every 12 months") to the number of pro-rated days, for example "First 55 days".
- The Price column group header gains a "(pro-rated)" label and a day-ratio chip, for example 55/365D.
- You Buy For and You Sell For show the pro-rated amounts for that period instead of the full-period amounts.
- Unit Cost and Unit Price continue to show full-period values. Only the Price column group is scaled to the pro-rated period, which is why the header carries the "(pro-rated)" label.
- Catalog Adj. (%), Subscription Adj. (%), Total Adj. (%) and Margin (%) stay the same in both views. These percentages reflect the adjustments configured in the Price Configuration card and in the catalog, which this toggle does not affect.
- Margin (ABS) is scaled to the pro-rated period, since it is the difference between the pro-rated You Sell For and You Buy For amounts.
- Vendor Retail Price shows N/A when a pro-rated retail price is not available for the Product.
- If your Organization has a Distributor row and a Seller row, both are shown with their own pro-rated numbers. If a tier does not have a pro-rated price available, that row is left out of the Pro-rated view.
- If a Promotion is applied to the Subscription, it is reflected in the Pro-rated view the same way it is in the Regular view.
NOTE! The CCY button is not available in the Pro-rated view. Cost-currency sub-lines and the Exchange Rates legend bar are shown in the Regular view only. See "How to read the Price table" for details on the CCY button.
Regular Price table
Pro-rated Price table
You can switch back to Regular at any time — this only changes what is displayed and does not affect the Subscription itself, the Order, or any other section of the page.
Pro-rated amount in the Price header
When a Subscription is pro-rated, the Price section header shows the first-period amount alongside the recurring one. A PRO-RATED block appears to the right of the GRAND TOTAL, with the day ratio in its label — for example PRO-RATED (14D / 31D) — and the pro-rated Customer Price beneath it.
The GRAND TOTAL beside it continues to show the full Billing Cycle price, so you can read both figures at once: what the Customer is charged for the first, incomplete period, and what they are charged from the next cycle onward. The Billing Cycle badge to the left of both shows the recurring frequency.
NOTE! The PRO-RATED block in the header is the Customer-facing amount only. For the pro-rated amount at each Partner tier, use the Pro-Rated Price panel below or the Pro-rated view of the Price table.
Pro-Rated Price panel
The Price Configuration card above the Price table has its own Pro-Rated Price panel, labelled Mid-cycle estimate. The panel appears in Detailed view when the Subscription is pro-rated. Expand it with the chevron at the right.
The panel contains:
- DAYS REMAINING IN CYCLE — a progress bar showing how much of the Billing Cycle is left, with the ratio printed at the right under DAYS IN CYCLE, for example 55 / 365 days.
- A SELLER row — the pro-rated amount the Seller pays, in the Seller's currency.
- A CUSTOMER row — the pro-rated amount the Customer pays, in the Customer's currency.
These two rows correspond to the Seller row's You Buy For and You Sell For values in the pro-rated Price table. Each tier is charged only for the remaining days, at its own price and in its own currency. The minimum pro-rated period is one day.
The margin tiles and the CUSTOMER PRICE panel beneath continue to show full-cycle values, so the panel and the tiles together give you both the first-period amount and the recurring amount.
Example
A Customer purchases a Subscription with 55 days left of a 365-day Billing Period. The Pro-Rated Price panel in the Price Configuration card shows 55 / 365 days remaining, with SELLER at EUR 45.96 and CUSTOMER at EUR 50.56.
In the Price table, selecting Pro-rated displays the badge 55/365d, changes the Billing Cycle column to "First 55 days", and adds the "(pro-rated)" label to the Price column group header. The Seller row then shows:
- Price Source: Cost Price
- Catalog Adj. (%): 10 · Subscription Adj. (%): 0 · Total Adj. (%): 10.00
- Margin (%): 9.10 · Margin (ABS): EUR 4.60
- Unit Cost: EUR 305.04 · Unit Price: EUR 335.54 — full-period values, not scaled
- You Buy For: EUR 45.96 · You Sell For: EUR 50.56 — scaled to the 55-day period
- Vendor Retail Price: N/A — no pro-rated retail price is available for this Product
The You Buy For and You Sell For amounts match the SELLER and CUSTOMER rows in the Pro-Rated Price panel above the table.
Note that Margin (%) and the adjustment columns stay the same in both views — only the Price column group and Margin (ABS) change, scaled to the 55-day period. Switching back to Regular restores the full-period numbers instantly, without reloading the page.
Important information
- The Pro-rated toggle is only available for Vendors and Products that support pro-rated pricing. This applies to a limited set of Vendors.
- If the Customer is set up with a preferred currency different from the Platform's default currency for this purchase, the toggle is hidden and only the Regular view is shown.
- The CCY button and cost-currency sub-lines are not available in the Pro-rated view.
- Only the Price column group is scaled to the pro-rated period. Unit Cost and Unit Price continue to show full-period values in both views.
- The pro-rated Price table view does not change what the Customer is charged. It changes only what is displayed to Distributors and Sellers.
Summary
The Price table includes a Regular / Pro-rated toggle, giving Distributors and Sellers visibility into their own buy and sell prices for the first, incomplete Billing Period — not only for the full recurring period. Selecting Pro-rated scales the Price column group and Margin (ABS) to the remaining days, while the adjustment percentages, Margin (%), Unit Cost and Unit Price stay unchanged.
The Price Configuration card above the table shows the same pro-rated amounts per tier in its Pro-Rated Price panel. The toggle appears only when pro-rated pricing applies to the Product, and is unavailable when the Customer uses a preferred currency. Switching between Regular and Pro-rated does not affect the Customer's own pro-rated price, the Subscription, or the Order.
