Adobe Industries
Introduction
It is possible to specify the industry (segment) for Adobe resellers.
Reseller industries are managed by distributors using AppXite PartnerHub or APIs.
What does the feature look like in the UI?
The feature is located in the Vendor Contracts section in the PartnerHub and looks like this:
The subsection contains 3 checkboxes:
- Education
- Government
- Private Business
How does the feature work?
The industry is a mandatory field that you need to select.
Resellers that existed before the feature implementation have Industries selected in PartnerHub based on available contracts.
Here are a few things worth mentioning:
- Customers are eligible for only one industry on Adobe's side.
- Customers can select an industry before the first order is placed.
- The customer is eligible for purchasing offers that are successfully accepted by Adobe on the stage of order preview and according to enabled industry.
Sub-segments
Aside from industry/segment, there are also sub-segments that are valid only for the EDU industry. A sub-segment is set by the end customer only in their Adobe Admin Console. Customers can select one or multiple sub-segments. Selecting sub-segments affects the list of available offers.
Industries and sub-segments structure is presented in the table below:
Segment | Description | Sub-segment value | Sub-segment description | Offers available to purchase |
COM | Commercial (default) |

||
EDU | Education | K_12 | K-12 School |
EDU offers without sub-segment EDU offers with K-12 sub-segment |
HIGHER_ED | Higher Education |
EDU offers without sub-segment EDU offers with HED sub-segment |
||
NON_PROFIT | Nonprofit | EDU offers without sub-segment | ||
