Credit Risk Management

A comprehensive overhaul of the platform's Credit Risk Management significantly strengthens how distributors and sellers manage commercial risk by introducing the Credit Risk Profile module and a unified Credit Risk Management tab under the platform's Settings, which now includes Offer Restrictions and Credit Limit management. Once configured, restrictions are enforced automatically across the platform, reducing financial exposure and giving partners a powerful, flexible toolset to manage offer availability and risk policies at scale.

  • Credit Risk Profile

With the new Credit Risk Profiles, distributors and sellers can group partners by risk level and apply granular offer restrictions for vendors, offers, commitment terms, and billing frequencies. This ensures that high-risk sellers or customers only see safe, compliant purchasing options and prevents exposure to long-term financial commitments, eliminates unintended billing configurations, and ensures consistent enforcement of risk policies across catalogue browsing, quoting, and subscription management.

  • Offer Restrictions

Offer restrictions now extend to commitment and billing frequency combinations, preventing exposure to unsupported or high-risk billing setups. This eliminates invalid or unintended billing configurations before they can be selected. Offer Restrictions are fully integrated with the platform's product management, ensuring that only permitted commitment and billing combinations are displayed based on the assigned Credit Risk Profile, while users receive clear warnings when no valid billing cycles are available.

  • Credit Limit Approval

While Offer Restrictions block high-risk billing combinations upfront, Credit Limit approvals enable pre-order review of high-value or high-risk transactions, deliver real-time notifications with the order value at risk, and allow manual approval or rejection before fulfillment.

Together, these features create a comprehensive credit risk framework that reduces payment defaults, improves cash-flow predictability, and gives Distributors the confidence to support larger or higher-risk deals without sacrificing control or slowing down legitimate business.

Extended Credit Limit Logic with Receivable Amount Support

The Credit Limit feature has been extended to give distributors greater flexibility and accuracy in managing financial exposure. Orders now include an additional Receivable Amount value, representing the reseller’s sales price and expected revenue, alongside the existing Credit Risk value that reflects vendor cost exposure. This improvement allows partners to assess credit usage based on either cost or revenue, aligning credit controls with real commercial models and internal policies.

Microsoft Partner of Record (POR) Validation

The platform introduces Microsoft POR validation to help distributors and indirect resellers prepare for upcoming Microsoft enforcement and reduce order failures. A new Validate button allows users to check a reseller’s PLA ID (formerly MPN ID) in real time using Microsoft’s POR API during onboarding and contract management, with clear success or error messages displayed in the UI. This enables partners to identify invalid reseller configurations early, prevent failed subscription orders and changes, and make informed decisions when supporting existing subscriptions, improving compliance readiness and operational efficiency ahead of POR enforcement.

Custom Field Display Name Configuration

The Custom Fields Settings give distributors and sellers greater control over how custom field sections are presented across the platform, enabling a clearer and more consistent user experience. A new Settings tab allows users to define friendly, business-relevant display names for custom fields across Orders, Subscriptions, Organizations, and Contracts, ensuring labels align with internal terminology and customer-facing workflows. Distributor-defined settings are inherited by default, while sellers can override them when needed, supporting both standardization at scale and local flexibility.

Enhanced Azure Plan Markup Configuration with Warning Messages

We've introduced automatic warning messages in the Customer Prices and Partner Prices sections to help you configure Markup correctly for Azure Plan services. When you select either the 'Azure Plan' or 'Azure Subscriptions under Azure Plan' offer, The Platform displays a guidance message explaining how your invoices will be organized based on your Customer's Azure Subscription setup. This enhancement ensures you configure Markup for both offers when using detailed Azure Subscription billing, helping you maintain accurate pricing and consistent margins.

Subscriptions Report: Enhanced Promotions & Microsoft End of Sale Offers Tracking and Visibility

The Subscriptions Report now includes four new columns showing promotion percentages and identifiers for both sellers and customers. These columns display the promotional discount values based on your markup configuration, along with custom promotion IDs and names from Product Management. This enhancement provides better visibility into how promotions impact pricing and margins across your subscriptions. The new promotion data columns are available within the Price Configuration Today column group.

Additionally, the Subscription Report introduces a new filtering capability for Microsoft End of Sale offers within the Offers group. The report displays True or False values in the Microsoft End of Sale column, allowing you to quickly identify subscriptions containing offers that Microsoft has discontinued or plans to discontinue. This helps you proactively manage customer migrations and plan for offer transitions before they impact your business.
